Cost contribution

The Dutch government has determined that Ukrainian residents of a municipal shelter in the Netherlands will pay a contribution towards the costs of shelter as of January 1, 2025. This applies to all residents with an income.

If you have an income and are 18 years or older, you will pay a cost contribution as of January 1, 2025. With this money the municipality can pay part of the costs for your shelter, such as gas, water and electricity. Do you receive living allowance? Then you do not have to pay the cost contribution.
